Through years of hands-on involvement in advocacy, service coordination, and daily support, Christopher has gained a deep appreciation for the importance of individualized planning, thoughtful risk awareness, and respectful, rights-based decision-making. This experience provides a grounded and compassionate perspective that guides the Society’s work.

As Board Chair, Christopher oversees governance and financial accountability, ensuring the organization operates with integrity and in alignment with its mission and ethical commitments. Professionally, Grant has experience in business operations, financial management, and organizational planning. This background supports his role in maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing budgeting processes, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring fiscal accountability. Grant’s approach balances compassion with diligence, recognizing that strong financial stewardship is essential to sustainable, person-centred supports.

As Treasurer, Grant works closely with the Board to ensure transparency, compliance with nonprofit requirements, and responsible use of funding. They are committed to maintaining financial integrity while supporting decisions that prioritize inclusion, stability, and long-term well-being for the people the society serves.

Dean P.

Dean’s clinical training contributes directly to the Society’s ability to uphold safety, rights, and well-being. He demonstrates strong competence in functional assessment, risk identification, proactive behaviour support strategies, crisis prevention, and ethical decision-making. His experience working within multidisciplinary teams ensures that support remains person-centred, evidence-informed, and responsive to changing needs.

In addition to his therapeutic qualifications, Dean possesses practical business and operational knowledge that strengthens Board governance. He has experience in program development, compliance oversight, documentation standards, and service quality monitoring. His combined expertise supports fiscal responsibility, regulatory alignment, and sustainable organizational planning.

Dayna P.

Dayna serves as a Director and brings both personal commitment and practical experience to the Board. Through her close relationships with adult family members who have special needs, she has developed a strong understanding of the importance of patience, advocacy, and consistent support.

In addition to her personal experience, Dayna has a background in business that supports responsible planning, organization, and decision-making. She understands the importance of structure and accountability in ensuring sustainable supports.

As a Director, Dayna contributes a thoughtful perspective, compassion, and a steady focus on maintaining respectful, well-managed services that prioritize the well-being of the individuals the Society supports.

Peter S.

Peter serves as a Director and brings valuable experience supporting adults with special needs, along with professional knowledge connected to community living services. Through his involvement in community-based care environments, he has developed a strong understanding of the importance of structured supports, safety awareness, and promoting meaningful inclusion.

Peter’s business experience within the community living sector provides practical insight into service coordination, operational planning, and responsible resource management. He understands the balance between compassionate support and sound organizational practices.
